Fall 2019 Intramural Schedule

*All dates and times are tentative and subject to change.
Check IMLeagues for the most up-to-date information.

Note: For some team sports, practice games are scheduled by the Rec prior to the first official game of the season. These games serve as a clinic for Rec officials and supervisors. Teams interested in participating in the practice games can sign up through the IM professional staff.

Captains are the primary persons responsible for communicating with the Intramural Sports Office. Teams may have multiple co-captains and can be assigned via IMLeagues. All captains are responsible for requesting reschedules and keeping rosters up to date. Additionally, it is the responsibility of the captain(s) to ensure their team adheres to all sport-specific rules, and well as the rules and policies set by the Intramural Sports program.

In order to be eligible to play within the Vanderbilt Intramural program all participants must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Enrolled undergraduate or graduate student with Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center membership or faculty/staff member with Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center membership.
  2. Community members with an active Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center membership.
  3. Must be on IMLeagues Roster
  4. Must show Vanderbilt issued ID to match the name on the roster.

All Vanderbilt University students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate in Intramural Sports. Leagues include Open, Co-Rec, and Greek.  Individuals may participate in accordance with their own gender identity.

Reschedule/Forfeit Policies

Reschedule Policy

Teams looking to reschedule a game or match must contact the Competitive Sports Coordinator to ask for their approval. Following approval from the coordinator, the coordinator will email both captains to discuss and agree on a new time and date. Once both captains agree to a new time/date, IMLeagues will reflect the new agreement. Opposing captains can reject reschedule requests. Games must be rescheduled in the following calendar week. Competitive Sports staff may ask for proof of conflict.

Reschedules can occur for the following reasons:

  1. Scholastic Event impacting majority of a team
  2. Holiday Event impacting majority of a team

 Forfeit Policy

The captain of the team wishing to forfeit a game must contact the Intramural Sports Office prior to 3 p.m. of the scheduled game day. Teams that fail to show up or contact our office will be handed a loss for the match. Teams that forfeit more than 2 times in a season will be ineligible for the playoffs. Teams that forfeit 3 times will be removed from their league.

Day of Play Policy

Games will be scheduled in regards to the night of your registered league. While every game will be attempted to be scheduled on the same night, weather, reschedules, and field availability can adjust some game schedules. Team’s full schedule will be posted after the sign up period, allowing time to look and plan for future games. IMleagues will reflect all schedule updates and changes.

Playoff Policy

While league play will traditionally occur on a same set night, the playoffs will occur on other nights than normally scheduled. Playoff eligibility depends on field and space availability. Please take note that further rounds times and location can change based around teams requests moving further into the bracket.

Players must participate in at least one regular season game prior to the playoffs in order to be eligible for playoff rosters.
