Research Area: Developmental Science
I am interested in preschoolers' language development. My research focuses on the contexts in which children learn words best. Recently I've been most interested in children's self-motivated word learning and the abilities that might influence it such as curiosity, metacognition, selective-trust, and existing language ability. In another line of research I examine how children reason about human's actions on the environment.
