This is for a post-doctoral position focused on methods to improve echocardiography. The goal of the work is to overcome existing challenges in cardiac ultrasound by developing new methods in deep learning and signal processing to improve the image reconstruction pipeline.
The post-doctoral researcher will work closely with PIs Dr. Brett Byram, Dr. Susan Eagle and the rest of the study team. The post-doc will also play a leadership role in supervision of some aspects of the proposed work including some supervision of the graduate students on the project and coordinating with Dr. Eagle on patient acquisition. The post-doc will help develop new domain adaptation schemes for echocardiography deep beamformer training. They will also develop and integrate end-to-end training schemes and and comprehensive beamforming into the deep learning approaches.
Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant field of study. Ideally applicants would have experience with ultrasound beamforming or other forms of image reconstruction. Experience with deep learning is preferred but not necessary. Applicants should be willing to work with more junior trainees, which could include both undergraduate and graduate students.
