Position Detail

Seeking an individual with a Ph.D. and experience in biochemistry, cell biology to conduct research on adipocyte signal transduction, metabolism and biochemistry. This position will allow the fellow to learn about diabetes, physiology of metabolism in order to be able to integrate their molecular skills with in vivo physiology.

Our lab focuses on obesity/metabolic disease with emphasis on organs such as adipose and heart. Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt Medical Center is an outstanding collaborative environment with strong core resources, a stellar history of signal transduction research, the longest-funded NIH Diabetes Research and Training Center and NIH-supported Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Center.
