Postdoctoral position studying cellular metabolism of diabetes and aging
Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism | |
An immediate opening for a postdoctoral position exists at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Multiple projects are available including to examine the role of metabolism 1) in pancreatic islet function and growth and 2) in liver. The candidate will be immersed in an interdisciplinary environment with training opportunities in transgenic mouse models, human islet culture and xenograft transplantation, human pancreas analyses, metabolomics LC-MS/MS, 3D EM reconstruction, single-cell RNA-seq, and computational data science techniques. Funding is secure, along with a highly competitive salary and fringe benefits. Individuals with experience in mouse models of diabetes, lineage mapping, metabolomics, RNA-seq, and/or immunofluorescence microscopy are especially encouraged to apply but these are not required. Those interested should contact Danielle Dean at danielle.dean@vumc.org. Please include a cover letter, CV, and the names with contact information for three referees. |
