Postdoctoral Fellow Position

Epithelial Biology Center

A postdoctoral position within Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Epithelial Biology Center is immediately available for highly motivated PhD or MD/PhD scientists. The work ranges from mechanisms underlying epithelial polarity to innovative approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer. Projects involve use of 3D culture systems, patient-derived xenografts (PDXs) and organoids (PDOs), analysis of extracellular vesicles and nanoparticles, along with use of syngeneic mouse models to explore a new anti-tumor immune pathway. A wide range of approaches will be taken, including confocal microscopy, live cell imaging, mouse fluorescent colonoscopy, multiplex immunofluorescence, and comparative transcriptomic and proteomic analysis. Individuals are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills.
