Post-doctoral research positions available in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary, and Critical Care Medicine (APCCM) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC)
Allergy, Pulmonary, and Critical Care Medicine | |
VUMC is recruiting two post-doctoral research scientists to investigate basic mechanisms of interstitial lung disease under the supervision of Dr. Timothy Blackwell and Dr. Jonathan Kropski. Our group has assembled a highly collaborative team of outstanding investigators with state-of-the-art expertise in molecular genetics, mouse modeling, cell and molecular biology, single cell biology, and translational research, thus allowing us to pursue a unique combination of genetic and molecular based approaches to discover critical pathways and cellular phenotypes that underlie the pathogenesis of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and other interstitial lung diseases. We have recruited one of the world’s largest cohorts of families with the heritable form of pulmonary fibrosis and we have collected a large biobank with specimens from patients with familial and sporadic interstitial lung disease. |
