Position Detail

Structural Biology Postdoc Position!

Medicine, Biochemistry and Pharmacology

Greetings! My Lab has an open postdoc position to study how 2nd messenger signaling molecules alter the structure of nuclear receptor transcription factors.

We recently used integrated biophysical techniques to determine the "unperturbed" ground-state structure of a full-length nuclear receptor bound to DNA. We now want to add regulatory ligands to this ground state to determine how activating or repressing small molecules (drugs and physiological ligands) alter the ground state structure of this protein. The techniques you'll use will mainly be based on mass spectrometry (HDX and/or chemical X-linking).

The ideal candidate will need to have an interest in helping others in the lab and have some skills in structural biology, protein expression/purification, SAXS, X-ray crystallography and/or mass spectrometry-based proteomics.

If you're doubting your fit, I encourage you to apply! I have many projects in structural biology, genomics and drug design/screening you might be a great fit for... If you don't ask, you don't get!

Thank you!
