Position Detail

The Pua lab at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is recruiting a post-doctoral scholar for an NIH-funded project to study mechanisms of extracellular vesicle biogenesis in bladder cancer and the immune system.

Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology

The long-term goal of this research is to understand fundamental molecular mechanisms of extracellular vesicle formation and cargo loading as well as define how alterations in extracellular vesicle production affect cancer cell migration and immune cell function in the tumor microenvironment. . State-of-the-art approaches in the lab include extracellular vesicle flow cytometry, organotypic culture, in vivo extracellular vesicle tracing, and high throughput sequencing. Additional information about the laboratory is available at: https://www.vumc.org/pua-lab/welcome.

Application Details
Candidates should have a PhD with skill in basic cellular and molecular biology techniques. Experience in extracellular vesicle biology, immunology and/or cancer biology is especially desirable. Successful candidates will be hard-working and highly motivated.
