A postdoctoral position is available in data science and complex networks with applications to disaster resilience. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on progress and funding.

The research focus is on statistical learning and network analysis applied to risk and resilience modeling of complex interconnected networks. The research fellow is expected to engage in interdisciplinary research focused on (i) the dynamic behavior of interdependent infrastructure and social networks during disasters, and (ii) climate change impact on infrastructure and adaptation strategies. 

Required qualifications
Candidates from various disciplines such as data science, statistics, risk analysis, network science, civil engineering, industrial engineering, systems engineering, urban planning, or other related fields are invited to apply.
The following skills and qualifications are required:
- Experience in machine learning, data mining, network analysis, and spatial data analysis
- Proficiency in programming (Python, R)
- Understanding of mathematical foundations and modeling of dynamic complex networks
- Excellent oral and written communication
