Postdoctoral position to study the mechanisms that regulate human pancreatic islet alpha and beta cell function
Molecular Physiology & Biophysics | |
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position to study the mechanisms that regulate human pancreatic islet alpha and beta cell function. Investigations will involve examining how both normal and pathophysiological conditions impact islet cells, including those associated with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Analysis of candidate effector function will be conducted in human islets as well as model systems, for example using mouse in vivo models and human islet beta cell lines. Cutting edge approaches in RNA gene expression, epigenetics, cell imaging, and mass spectrometry based proteomics will be utilized. |
