Seeking motivated post-doctoral candidates to develop their translational research career in imaging and image analysis of cutaneous manifestations of cancer and its treatments.

We are seeking motivated post-doctoral candidates to develop their translational research career in imaging and image analysis of cutaneous manifestations of cancer and its treatments. Trainees in this well-funded program will enjoy a competitive salary, benefits, and ample resources to advance their career and research. Initial appointment will be for one year with annual renewal options. Multimodal dermatologic imaging techniques including 3D photography, hyperspectral imaging, and confocal microscopy, coupled to image analysis techniques including deep learning neural networks, will be applied in ongoing multicenter clinical trials and basic science research

Environment:

Candidates will benefit from a personalized research program catered to their goals utilizing resources and mentoring within the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (Madan Jagasia), Dermatology (Eric Tkaczyk), Computer Science (Benoit Dawant) and the Biophotonics Center within Biomedical Engineering (Anita Mahadevan-Jansen). This environment brings together clinicians, basic scientists, engineers and statisticians in close collaboration due to its interdisciplinary research and close physical proximity of the School of Medicine to the School of Engineering (100-200 yards). 

Qualifications:

Ph.D. or M.D. with expertise in at least one of the following: clinical translational research, computer science, dermatologic imaging, multivariate data analysis, image processing, optics, clinical device validation, clinical trials and study design, immunology, or biomarkers.
