Position Detail

Postdoctoral fellowship position in ion channel drug discovery

The Denton Lab is searching for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to lead two ion channel drug discovery programs in the lab. The successful candidate will spend 50% of their effort developing small-molecule modulators of neuronal potassium channels as part of an international collaboration with Ono Pharmaceuticals in Japan. The rest of their effort will be split between developing novel-mechanism contraceptives targeting sperm-specific Slo3 potassium channels and working on ion channel related projects of mutual interest. Although much of the drug discovery work will employ fluorescence-based high-throughput screening, preference will be given to candidates with patch clamp electrophysiology experience. Interested candidates should send their CV and letter of interest to Jerod Denton

Please send CV and names and contact information for three references to Jerod Denton. Competitive candidates will be invited to give a talk on their research to the Denton lab group.
