Postdoctoral position in neuroimmunology to uncover the mechanism of neural repair in the CNS

This is a 2 year funded program to examine the effect of novel small molecules which improve remyelination in animal models of CNS demyelinating disease. 


The project will focus on examining the mechanisms of action of the small molecule in experimental allergic encephalitis and in the cuprizone model of CNS demyelination/remyelination. The applicant should be familiar in the handing of mice and rats for experimental studies and in performing basic experiments in biochemistry, molecular biology flow cytometry and histology.

An applicant should have completed a PhD or have a Masters in biology and extensive experience in neurobiology and/or neuroimmunology. Salaries for the position will be commensurate with training and experience.
