The Bagnato's Lab in the Neuroimaging Unit of the Neuro-immunology Division is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral research fellow working in the clinical application of newly developed MRI techniques as they apply to the studying and understanding of multiple sclerosis, both in vivo and post mortem.

The Bagnato's Lab in the Neuroimaging Unit of the Neuro-immunology Division is seeking candidates for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in medical image analysis. We are looking for candidates with a strong track record of independent research in computational image analysis methods as they apply to the study and understanding of neurological diseases and who are interested in pursuing a research career in biomedical image acquisition and analysis.


The postdoctoral fellow will support neuroimaging projects on the acquisition of MRI data both in vivo and post mortem and image analysis using various algorithms for the study of multiple sclerosis.


Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, an excellent background in neurology and MR image analyses, and a strong track record of independent research in medical image analysis, computer vision, or machine learning. Successful applicants will have first-author papers in competitive conferences such as AAN, ACTRIMS, ECTRIMS, ISMRM and RSNA and/or leading journals in their respective fields.


Applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply:
• Automated image segmentation using graph based techniques
• C++ programming, particularly using ITK/VTK, and scripting languages
• Post mortem imaging acquisition and analysis
• Basic principles of clinical brain MRIs acquisition and interpretation
