Professor Biswas’ research group in Modeling and Simulation of Complex Systems (MACS) at the Institute for Software Integrated Systems (ISIS) and the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Vanderbilt University has an opening for a post-doctoral researcher in the area of Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) and Control. In particular, this position will involve research in applying model- and data-driven approaches to control and safety analysis of Complex CPS. Of particular interest are candidates who have a background in deep reinforcement learning methods.
The post-doctoral researcher will work closely with the faculty mentor (Gautam Biswas, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering), and graduate students in the MACS lab on projects in smart buildings and safety analysis of unmanned aerial vehicle flights.
