A post-doctoral position is available for motivated researcher at the Vanderbilt University Institute of Imaging Sciences. The primary focus of the group is to develop, characterize and evaluate targeted molecular agents for in vivo photodynamic therapy, fluorescence imaging, and optical surgery navigation. The candidate will be responsible for biological characterization, fluorescence microscopy and in vivo imaging/therapy of such agents. 

Qualifications: 
The desired candidate should have expertise and publication in biology and molecular imaging. Technical skills with cell culture, blotting, PCR, binding study, fluorescence microscopy, cell death evaluation, animal model development, in vivo/ex vivo imaging, small animal surgery and statistical analysis are essential to this position. A candidate with experience in bioconjugate chemistry and therapeutic effect monitoring is preferred. The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in biology or related fields. Applicants should be fluent in English and possess good written and verbal communication skills.
