Department of Radiology, VUIIS

A 3 year Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Vanderbilt University Institute of Imaging Science (VUIIS). The primary appointment will be in the VUMC Department of Radiology. Main effort in this project will be towards developing active field correction coils for metallic interventional MRI instruments. The candidate will work with collaborators in the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Interventional Radiology, with the long term aim of driving these basic technical developments to the clinic. Other effort will be towards developing methods for more robust high field (3T and 7T) MRI along with working towards the candidate's long term career goals.

Candidates with specific experience in MR engineering are preferred but others with backgrounds in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering and Physics with interests in MRI are welcome to apply. Experience in instrumentation is a plus.
