Position Detail

Postdoctoral Position in Multimodal Multiplexed Immunoimaging with Nanostructures in Prof. Rizia Bardhan's Lab at Vanderbilt University.

Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

A postdoctoral position is available immediately for an ambitious and result-oriented individual to develop nanoscale contrast agents for multimodal multiplexed imaging combining positron emission tomography and Raman spectroscopy of immunomarkers (PD-1, CD8+ etc.) in mouse models. The project will involve nanostructure synthesis, characterization, in vivo and ex vivo imaging and image analysis, and ex vivo analysis of tissues to correlate to in vivo endpoints. This interdisciplinary funded project through CDMRP at the interface of nanoscience, medical imaging, and immunology will allow the postodoctoral candidate to collaborate with researchers at the Vanderbilt Imaging Institute (VUIIS), Cancer Biology, and Biomedical Engineering. To learn more about the research in Prof. Bardhan's Lab, please see our research website.

Qualifications: Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with one or more of the following expertise: mouse models of melanoma/breast cancer, PDX models, PET and optical imaging and image analysis in small animals, immunology, nanomaterial synthesis, basic biological techniques such as flow cytometry, IHC, IF, WB. Experience and motivation will be taken strongly into consideration in the hiring process.

Interested applicants should send a current CV, a short 1 page research statement, and names of three references to Dr. Rizia Bardhan.
