A postdoctoral position is available to investigate the neurophysiology of binocular integration in primate thalamus and neocortex at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Requirements are: -a PhD in psychology, neuroscience, biomedical engineering or a related field -strong publication record, preferably in a field of vision science -extensive experience in neurophysiology -strong quantitative skills, including time series analysis and statistics -excellent programming skills in Matlab and other languages Prior experience with behaving primates is preferred. The work is challenging and team oriented, so a good sense of humor and strong interpersonal skills are a plus. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on research combining psychophysics, multi-array electrophysiology, and fMRI in primates. Start date is negotiable. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience based on the NIH postdoctoral scale. |
