Vanderbilt Department of Political Science Postdoctoral Research Scholars to support research on international relations.
The Department of Political Science at Vanderbilt University seeks applicants for a fellowship to support research on international relations. Applications are welcome from scholars who have received their doctoral degrees within the three years prior to the start of the fellowship, or who will complete their PhD by August 1, 2016. The position involves a year of supported research at Vanderbilt University starting at the beginning of the 2016-17 academic year. The International Relations subfield at Vanderbilt emphasizes theoretically novel research that uses analytically rigorous research methods to study (1) the political economy of conflict and (2) the role of international factors in national governance and state capacity. Priority will be given to interesting research that builds synergies within the department. Postdoctoral Scholars will be expected to teach one course per semester during their time at Vanderbilt. Successful applicants will be given a competitive salary, health care benefits, office space, computing resources, and a research fund.
