We have an immediate opening for a Post-doctoral Fellow with a strong background in medical device instrumentation, especially catheters. The position is fully funded by an NIH R01 (7/1/15-6/30/19) that is focused on ultrasound guidance of mitral valve ablation with a dual-energy catheter, utilizing cryo-ablation to adhere to the moving mitral valve leaflets and radio-frequency ablation to resect enlarged leaflets. The Fellow will be responsible for: catheter fabrication/modification, large animal study and surgical planning with clinical collaborators, soft tissue biomechanical testing/analysis, and histology.
