Maymester and Summer Session Housing Information

Summer School Housing Application

All students planning to enroll in a Maymester or Summer Session course who require on-campus housing should complete the Summer School Housing Application located in the Student Housing Portal.  The application will be available beginning April 15, 2020.  Room assignments will be available only at the time of check-in.

Maymester and Summer Session Housing Locations

Rising 2nd Year Students or Greater and Incoming Fall 2020 Transfer Students – Location: Hank Ingram House

Incoming Fall 2020 First-Year Students – Location: Hank Ingram House

Students will be assigned to a traditional double room with a roommate. Roommate request will be considered.

Housing Dates

Maymester Housing:  May 2 – May 30 at 9AM
Summer Session 1 Housing:  May 31 at 12PM – July 4 at 9AM
Summer Session 2 Housing:  July 5 at 12PM – August 8 at 9AM

Summer Session 1:  $1,727 (Includes Student Gov’t Fee)
Summer Session 2:  $1727 (Includes Student Gov’t Fee)

Maymester General Information

Check-in will begin in the Hank Ingram House lobby on Saturday, May 2 at 2PM.  All Maymester students NOT enrolling in a Summer Session 1 course need to check out no later than Saturday, May 30 at 9AM.  In order to check-out, please report to the Hank Ingram House front desk or contact your RA.

Maymester Study Abroad Information

Students participating in trips that depart after Saturday, May 9 or that have an on-campus component should complete the Summer School Housing Application if they plan to remain on-campus after Saturday, May 2 at 9AM.  Beginning May 2, students will be billed the daily rate for housing $49.25 for each night they reside on-campus.

Students enrolled in programs with trips that are scheduled to depart on or before Saturday, May 9 will be permitted to remain in their current spring 2020 housing assignments until their departure except for residents of Murray House and Stambaugh House.  Current residents of Murray House and Stambaugh House will be required to move to Maymester housing in Hank Ingram House on Saturday, May 2.

Students enrolled in programs with trips that are scheduled to depart after Saturday, May 9 or later will be required to move to Maymester housing in Hank Ingram House.

Summer Session 1 General Information

Check-in for Summer Session 1 will begin on Sunday, May 31 at 12PM in the Hank Ingram House lobby.  Students will receive their room assignments at check-in.  All Summer Session 1 students NOT enrolling in a Summer Session 2 course need to check out no later than Saturday, July 4 at 9AM.  In order to check-out, please report to the Hank Ingram House front desk or contact your RA.

Summer Session 2 General Information

Check-in for Summer Session 2 will begin on Sunday, July 5 in the Hank Ingram House lobby.  Students will receive their room assignments at check-in.  All Summer Session 2 students must check out no later than Saturday, August 8 at 9AM.  In order to check-out, please report to the Hank Ingram House front desk or contact your RA.

Students enrolled in Summer Session 2 courses who reside in Hank Ingram House for the duration of the term will be permitted to request permission to move directly to their fall on-campus room assignment upon the conclusion of Summer Session 2. Students who move directly to their fall on-campus room assignment will be charged $344.75.

Note:  Students enrolled in Maymester and Summer Session courses are welcome to reside off-campus.  Students residing off-campus for the summer of 2020 who are scheduled to reside on-campus for the fall 2020 semester will not be permitted to move into their fall on-campus room assignment until Sunday, August 23. Students with summer sublets should plan accordingly.  Fall 2020 residents who arrive prior to Sunday, August 23 will be referred to local hotels.
