Thanks to Excellence Fund members, the team was able to travel to the Bahamas for a training trip, where the team also volunteered with the nonprofit Soles4Souls. The team was also able to purchase new recruiting iPads and upgrade pool equipment and branding around the facilities. Success is possible because of you

Vanderbilt Swimming had a great 2017-18 season, both in the classroom and in the pool. The team had 13 swimmers make the Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll, with a cumulative team GPA of 3.59. The team performed admirably at the SEC Championships and set many season-best times during competition as well as breaking school records in the 100-yard fly, 200 medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay. Several of our swimmers competed at the CSCAA National Invitational this past season, earning a first-place finish in an event final and setting two personal records. In addition to practicing and studying, the Commodores kept busy throughout the year by participating in internship opportunities, volunteering in the community, and taking advantage of study abroad opportunities, including rising senior Eun Sol Chon’s experience with Vanderbilt’s Maymester Abroad program, studying the ecology of Caribbean coral reefs and learning about conservation practices and efforts.

Coach Jeremy Organ expects great things this year. Our student-athletes are working toward success—now they just need you! Make a gift today.
