Invest in Vanderbilt student-athletes
When you make a gift to the NCC Excellence Fund for Women’s Soccer, you provide funds to support and enrich the lives of our student-athletes. Last year, we were able to fund a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Japan for our student-athletes. The team played games against international competition and had the opportunity to visit a number of historical and cultural venues in Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima. In addition to this enriching international experience, we were also able to provide opportunities for our student-athletes to pursue personal development activities, including talks with various speakers on the topic of developing leadership skills.
This year, we hope to be able enhance our field equipment with the addition of a state-of-the-art video system, allowing us to capture every moment in practice and competition in order to improve team performance and individual skills.
Success is possible because of you
The Vanderbilt Women’s Soccer team is coming off a historic season and postseason run last year. The team finished fourth in the SEC standings, made the SEC Tournament semifinals, reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2006, and won an NCAA Tournament match for the first time since 1998 with a 2-1 win over four-seed Ohio State. The Vanderbilt Women’s Soccer team excelled in the classroom and in the wider community. Fourteen student-athletes were named to the 2017 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll, and Gabby Rademaker was named to the 13th annual SEC Soccer Community Service Team, an honor highlighting student-athletes who give back to their community through superior service efforts.
