Donny Everett Scholarship

The Donny Everett Scholarship
Honoring the memory of a standout student-athlete

Donny Everett passed away in 2016 at the age of 19, shortly after finishing his freshman year at Vanderbilt. Donny was one of the nation’s top high school pitchers before matriculating to Vanderbilt.

Shortly after Donny’s death, baseball fans and Vanderbilt supporters wanted to create a lasting legacy for him. Various donors have made contributions to establish the Donny Everett Scholarship in the Vanderbilt University Department of Athletics.  The scholarship will support deserving student-athletes in the sport of baseball. The goal is to raise $100,000 for an endowed scholarship; however, should we not meet the goal, the fund will be used as an annual scholarship in Donny’s memory that will be spent out over 1-2 years.

You can make a one-time gift to the Donny Everett Scholarship at vu.edu/everettscholarship. For more information on multi-year pledges, please contact Mark Carter, associate director of Athletics, at (615) 322-4114 or mark.carter@vanderbilt.edu
