MHS welcomes Inaê D. Valério, a PhD student who has just arrived from Brazil and will be spending a year working with Professor Dominique Behague, Dr. Aliyu Miktar and others at MHS and VIGH.
Inaê holds a BA in Nutrition and an MSc in Epidemiology from the Federal University of Pelotas, Brazil. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate in Epidemiology at the same university. Her research investigates child maltreatment, mental health, and psychoactive substance use in adolescence and early adulthood among participants of an ongoing 1993 Pelotas birth cohort study. She has also researched Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), investigating differences between sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, and nutrition.
