Dr. Kirsty Clark, assistant professor in MHS and core faculty member in the LGBT Policy Lab, has been awarded a Mentored Research Scientist Career Development Award (K01) by the National Institute of Mental Health.

Dr. Kirsty Clark, assistant professor in MHS and core faculty member in the LGBT Policy Lab, has been awarded a Mentored Research Scientist Career Development Award (K01) by the National Institute of Mental Health. This 4-year, $690k+ grant will support Dr. Clark’s research toward predicting and preventing suicide risk among LGBTQ+ young people. As part of the grant, Dr. Clark will receive training and mentorship from some of the field’s foremost leaders at Vanderbilt and VUMC, Yale, Rutgers, University of Texas at Austin, and Stony Brook University.
