Prof. Ken MacLeish’s article “Field Notes on the Politics of Veteran Care” was recently published in Ethnos: Journal of Anthropology.

The article explores how anthropologists balance empathetic engagement with military communities, critical understandings of military institutions, and labels and categories frequently applied to veterans and servicemembers that come laden with stereotype.
