The VIIBRE Automated Biosystems Core consists of a fully automated, ultra-high-speed confocal spinning disk microscope for screening applications with motorized stage and z-focus drive, ultra-fast laser-based autofocus (0.1s), multiple options for fluorescent filter selections, simultaneous or separate exposures, and air as well as water immersion objectives for precision imaging; and high-content image analysis software that seamlessly interfaces with large image quantities.
The Systems Biology and Bioengineering Undergraduate Research Experience (SyBBURE) allows a group of Vanderbilt undergraduates to explore their scientific interests and gain invaluable research experience using cutting-edge, innovative technologies.
