Life Values Inventory

What’s your personal truth?

A lot of us have set resolutions, goals, or intentions for the year and there’s never a better time to engage in self-awareness work than when you’re attempting to create a change in your life.

In our office we believe that who you are impacts how you lead and your values are central to your leadership identity. We also believe that not only leading but living in accordance with your values is the hallmark of integrity and has the potential to allow you to experience a well-designed, intentional, and meaningful life.

Values serve as guideposts and help you make decisions.

As Roy E. Disney famously said,

“It’s not hard to make decisions once you know what your values are.”

Leaders must be able to make hard decisions.

If you know your values, then you understand what matters most and prioritizing this will help you live your best life. The same is true for a person leading an organization or attempting to create social change.

As leaders, it is important that you keep values at the core of your leadership practice. The first step in doing so is values clarification.

In order to get clear on what you value, our office would like to introduce you to the Life Values Inventory developed by Dr. Kelly Crace and Dr. Duane Brown.

This is a FREE values clarification and personal development program available at lifevaluesinventory.org. ANYONE can take this instrument FREE of charge at ANY time.

This is a very personal experience so carve out time (20-30 minutes) to focus on the program. In order to help you reflect on the results and plan ways to use the data, Student Leadership Development would like to invite you to set up a Life Values Inventory Coaching Session with one of our three staff members. At our coaching session we’ll do the following:

  • Discuss the inventory process.
  •  Review your results.
  • Discuss the challenges and opportunities of values based leading and living.
  • Analyze your current/desired leadership experiences and examine how values can strengthen your practice.
  • Create a plan of action to help you utilize the strategies provided as well as design your own to help you put your values in action.

Sign up for a Coaching Session on Anchor Link. A staff member will be in contact with you at least 48 hours after your request.

We look forward to helping you as you work to not only profess your values but put them into practice.
