About the Conference

The conference, "The Public and Democracy in the Americas," will take place at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia on  October 25-26, 2019. The conference is coordinated by the Latin American Public Opinion Project (LAPOP) at Vanderbilt University and the Department of Political Science/Observatorio de la Democracia at the Universidad de Los Andes. The conference will blend presentations of key findings from the latest round of data collection with scholarship that uses the AmericasBarometer to generate important insights into public opinion and democracy. The objective is to facilitate dialogue over the project, research, and democracy in the region.
