After completing their research, in step two students find images to accompany the information from their research that they will present on their maps. I ask students to use Wikicommons so that they use high-quality images and provide authorial credit for the images that they incorporate. In step three, students use the StoryMap website to build their map. They should have between five and seven slides on their map that draw from the research that they conducted in step one. This step allows students to write about geography and culture and use technology to share their research with their peers. At this point, students may either upload their maps to the discussion board or as an optional step four, students use Quicktime or Screencast-o-matic to narrate their maps.
