As students watch the video, they mark off the genres that they hear. Students are able to turn on closed captioning to help with comprehension and can rewind the video as needed. Once they have finished the video, they submit the quiz and they receive automatic feedback from the website. This allows students to learn key vocabulary and evaluate their own language progress in a low-stakes environment.

COPYRIGHT & CREDIT

Melanie Forehand

Vanderbilt University

August 10, 2019

This project has been based on the work of:

Shannon Spasova, Michigan State University

This Google Forms activity creates a quiz to be used as a formative assessment.
