Lesson Plan:

Lesson Description:

After I introduce the clothing vocabulary, students use the attached worksheet to complete an online scavenger hunt. Guided by the questions on the attached worksheet, students search for specific items and describe the colors and fabrics of different pieces of clothing. As an extension activity, the students then search the website to select an outfit for their professor. This allows students to learn new vocabulary words and write short, descriptive sentences. I also ask students to justify their selections by including adjectives and opinion phrases. My goal is to have students see clothing items in an authentic context, practice the vocabulary terms in a natural context, and learn more about the clothing styles of other countries.

Please keep in mind that the worksheet will need to be adjusted to the current items being offered on the site.
