Jim Kramka, Senior Director, Housing Operations

Wearing their bright red Move Crew t-shirts, 466 upperclass volunteers moved exactly 1,600 first-year students into the Martha Rivers Ingram Commons on Saturday, August 20. In just four and a half hours, all of those new students -€“ and all their belongings -€“ were in their new homes for the next nine months. And, most parents scarcely touched a box or lifted a duffle bag. The Move Crew volunteers greeted the new students and carried every bit of their belongings from their cars to their rooms, even to the 7th floor of Hank Ingram. Job well done, Move Crew!

In appreciation of the service of the Move Crew to our first-year community, the Office of Housing and Residential Education (OHARE) is giving away two iPads to members of the Move Crew. To qualify for the drawing Move Crew volunteers had to swipe their Commodore Cards at their assigned House before 7 a.m. and after 11 a.m. on move in day. The two winners are Kevin Ankerholz and Cydney Bodenhamer. Congratulations Kevin and Cydney! And thank you for helping us from start to finish.
