Don-€™t be a victim. Protect your bike!

Bicycle thefts have surged since the beginning of the semester. Local thieves know when students return to campus and they target unsecured or poorly secured bikes. They can steal bikes quickly, ride away quickly and fence them quickly.

What You Can Do

  • Register your bike with VUPD
  • Never leave your bike unsecured
  • Use a U-lock; Vanderbilt Bookstore sells them for just $29.98
  • Do not use a cable lock -€“ thieves can cut them in seconds
  • Check on your bike regularly so that you can promptly report thefts to VUPD

Easy targets draw criminals to campus.
Protect your bike, your campus and yourself.
