VUSatellite Club Astronaut Speaker Event

Posted by on Monday, October 12, 2020 in Archives, News.

Dr. Margaret Rhea Seddon was one of six women in the first ever co-ed class of NASA astronauts while working simultaneously as an ER doctor. A native of Murfreesboro, TN, Seddon went on 3 separate space missions, and was inducted into the Astronaut Hall of Fame for her work on the International Space Station. On October 28, Dr. Seddon will tell us about life in space and how to rise up in the face of adversity. Use the QR scanner, or RSVP link, to sign up and post questions you would like to see answered. Seddon will also field questions directly from the audience! This event is hosted by the Vanderbilt Satellite Club, but we are teaming up with the Vanderbilt Society of Women Engineers and Space Law Society, as well as the Space Generation Advisory Council (a global, student-run organization).
