Gym Court and Field Reservations at the Student Rec Center
Gym Court Reservations – Reservations can be made for one court, one hour per week, one week in advance, and free of charge. If not reserved, the court(s) is open on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations are limited to a maximum of one-hour block, once a week. If reservation request is more than one hour, please contact the Office of Schedules and Reservations at 322-2448.
Sport Club Field – The Sport Club Field is a multi-purpose field can be reserved in person only by visiting the office of Campus Recreation Mon – Fri, 9am-5pm.
For special events, the Sport Club Field can be reserved by VU students, faculty/staff, current SRC members and appropriate parties by making reservations through the Office of Schedules and Reservations, 322-2448.
Racquetball and Squash Courts – Please call 343-8181 to make reservations. Maximum 1 hour block reservation per person per day. Scheduled Sport Clubs, Intramurals, or special events have court priority.

First Aid Certification – CPR/First Aid classes will be offered:
Dec. 10, 2011, Jan. 21, 2012 and Feb. 25, 2012
Be sure to register as soon as possible. Class size is limited to 15 participants based on first come, first served and will fill up quickly!
Cost: $120 (Payment is due at the time of registration.

Aquatics Programs American Red Cross LifeGuard Certification Course
Lifeguard training is a 37-hour course, which includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer (CPR/PR) and AED training. In this course, you will learn about the duties and responsibilities of a lifeguard and how to carry them out in a professional manner. You will also learn a number of lifeguarding skills, such as surveillance techniques, how to use rescue equipment, and how to manage a suspected spinal injury victim.
$205- Vanderbilt Students and CURRENT Student Recreation Center Members
$240 - Community
The cost includes your lifeguard training manual, pocket mask, and your certificate of completion.
Registration: Payment due in full at time of registration. Cash/Check/Money order only (No Credit Cards) Please make checks out to Vanderbilt University. Registration begins October 10, 2011 through December 15, 2011. Registration can be done Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm upstairs in the Student Recreation Center. Class size is limited, based on first come first serve. At this time, class will be limited to 6 participants, with a minimum of 4 participants.
Lifeguard classes: December 19, 2011 through December 23, 2011, 9:00AM – 5:00PM.
*You must attend all classes to receive certification. No missed classes will be made up.*
Requirements: To enroll in a Lifeguard Training course, you must be 15 years old and proficient in the front crawl (freestyle), sidestroke, and breaststroke. There will also be a pre-course session, in which you will be required to pass a skills test.
