Half Marathon and 5K Running Clinics Mar. 7 -€“ Apr. 23

Running Clinics are back this spring! These Half Marathon and 5K running clinics are taught by VRWC Fitness Staff Mark Langdon and Wade Evans. Training regimens are new each week and fun runs are included at the end! Feel free to drop in any Monday or Thursday throughout Mar. 7 through Apr. 23 since there is no need to register!

Attend 10 sessions and get entered for a FREE Country Music Marathon registration! (5k or 1/2 marathon entry only) All participants receive $20 off their Country Music Marathon registration just for participating!

Boxing Session Two Registration Ends Mar. 4

Master punches, combos, blocks and footwork with USA Boxing Coach Tramaine Crook in Adult Beginner Boxing Class this spring. This non-contact clinic will have you moving like pro boxer while having fun and getting fit!   Each session is eight weeks and costs $60. Registration and more clinic information online.

Intramural Schedule

Registrations can be completed at the Recreation and Wellness Center office from 9 am -€“ 6 pm Mon. -€“ Fri. For more info call 3-6627. There is a $10 Guest Pass for non-student and non-rec center members.

 


Now hiring Vanderbilt students for Summer 2016!

The VRWC is now accepting applications for:

  • Age Group Counselors
  • Activity Station Specialists (music, dance, literary arts, gym, field house, arts and crafts)
  • Camp Coordinators (administrative positions)
  • Lifeguards
  • Swim School Instructors

Grab and go information provided once a week in the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center on a nutrition topic to help support our heating healthfully and can be completed in 2-3 minutes.

Two New Group Fitness Classes at the VRWC

The Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center (VRWC) is offering two new group fitness classes this semester. Hoophoria is a beginner friendly, fun, and playful hula hoop dance class.     The class is available Mondays at 7:00 pm and Tuesdays at 4:00 pm.   On Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 am, try out Tabata with Kathy.   Come out and enjoy these great, new classes!
