Intramural Schedule

Registrations can be completed at the Recreation and Wellness Center office from 9 am -€“ 6 pm Mon. -€“ Fri. For more info call 3-6627. There is a $10 Guest Pass for non-student and non-rec center members.


Motion Cage Mondays coming this spring!

This comprehensive, progressive small group training program is taught by VRWC Fitness Associate, Wade Evans, covering the ins and outs of motion cage training. Visit the Motion Cage every Monday from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm between Jan. 25 and Feb. 22. The cost is $50 for the whole program and registration is Jan. 2-22.

Vandy Cooks with Chef of the Commons, Aaron Dilts

Join Vanderbilt-€™s celebrated chefs, registered dietitians, and expert guests for healthy cooking demonstrations along with tasty samples and recipes.

 

 

Join other students, faculty and staff in the launch of a third year for Vandy Cooks Friday, Jan. 22nd from 12:00 pm -€“ 1:00 pm in the Demonstration Kitchen of the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center. Chef of the Commons Aaron Dilts, in a Food Network style presentation, will prepare and share Mahi Mahi with Mango Sala and Coconut Rice. Attendees will receive healthy and delicious samples along with the recipe complete with nutrition analysis. This event is free to attend and registration is not required.

Vandy Cooks is provided monthly by a partnership with the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center, Health Plus, and their many celebrated food experts.

Join a beginner Dance Class and learn to cha-cha, fox trot, slide, and pop! Join our professional instructors for seven weeks of fun starting Jan. 17th for only $50 per class style. Salsa and ballroom meet on Thursday evenings while Swing and Hip-Hop meet on Sunday evenings.

Two New Group Fitness Classes at the VRWC

The Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center (VRWC) is offering two new group fitness classes this semester. Hoophoria is a beginner friendly, fun, and playful hula hoop dance class.     The class is available Mondays at 7:00 pm and Tuesdays at 4:00 pm.   On Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 am, try out Tabata with Kathy.   Come out and enjoy these great, new classes!

Master punches, combos, blocks and footwork with USA Boxing Coach Tramaine Crook in Adult Beginner Boxing Class this spring. This non-contact clinic will have you moving like pro boxer while having fun and getting fit!   Each session is eight weeks and costs $60. Session one begins Jan. 25th and session two begins Mar. 14th. Registration and more clinic information online.
