Vanderbilt Prison Project hosting: Crime and Punishment: A Criminal Justice Reform Panel
Tuesday, October 9th
7-8:30p.m.
Sarratt Cinema

A diverse panel of speakers will discuss their experiences working on criminal justice reform, give their analysis of the complicated mechanisms that have created mass incarceration, and offer advice to students interested in the issue. The first half of the panel will feature speakers who focus primarily on the causes of mass incarceration, from perspectives of law, sociology, community activism, and policy reform. The second half will focus on reentry to society and reducing recidivism rates! It’s a really rare opportunity to hear from local experts and activists who work directly on this issue, so don’t miss out! GME: Community Impact
