Registrations can be completed at the Office of Campus Recreation from 9 am – 5 pm Mon. – Fri. Each house-s vice president will be responsible for assisting the Office of Campus Recreation in promoting and registering teams for both the Commons sporting events and intramural sports. Smoothie King is now open in the Vanderbilt Student Recreation Center
The access point to the recreation center has moved a few yards west, closer to the outdoor running track. This will be our new entrance throughout the construction project.
The construction site is now completely fenced in. The sidewalk on the east side of the recreation center is closed. Access the center from the sidewalks along 25th Ave or Natchez Trace.
Grading for the field house has started and foundation work will soon follow.

Mark Your Calendars for the Wellness Bash

First Floor of the Rec Center
The Wellness Bash is an annual fair-type event held in the Student Recreation Center (SRC). The WRC invites different wellness-related groups and companies to come and demonstrate their services. Some of the services previously involved with the Bash have been Angelic Touch Massage, Vanderbilt Sports Medicine, Vanderbilt Student Health, Margaret Cunningham Women-s Center. There are also lots of giveaways from local companies.
Stop by for an array of wellness based booths from Vanderbilt student organizations and Nashville-s community. Trick-Or-Treat your way through FREE food, giveaways, and massages while expanding your knowledge on all aspects of individual wellness!
Learn to ROLL a KAYAK . . . . a popular self-rescue technique for whitewater kayaking.
Learn how to kayak the quick and easy way! Kayak Roll Workshops cost $5 to Vanderbilt students and Student Recreation Center members and $15 to non Student Rec Center Membership.
Each class is independent from the others. Knowledgeable kayak Instructors and kayaking equipment are provided for both the workshops and the open kayaking.
To attend the Kayak Roll Workshop, you may register up to two weeks in advance. You can sign up by e- mailing email@example.com.
Outdoor Rec Gear Rental Available
A variety of camping equipment is available for rent at a nominal fee. To rent equipment, a Vanderbilt student or faculty/staff ID card must be presented. (Alumni may also rent, at slightly higher fees.) All rental fees must be paid at the time of the reservation or check out via cash or check or the VANDERBILT CARD. (Sorry, we cannot accept charge cards or debit cards.)
Additional fines will be assessed for late, damaged, lost, stolen or excessively dirty equipment. The renter takes full responsibility for the equipment signed out in his or her name. Late fees are the same amount as renting the gear for more days.
Equipment may be reserved up to 30 days in advance. No phone reservations are accepted. To place a reservation, renters must come in person to reserve and pay for the equipment in full. A reservation must be cancelled more than 42 hours in advance to receive a full refund and 18-42 hours in advance for a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 18 hours in advance will receive no refund.
