Amy: Documentary with Panel Discussion (Sarratt Cinema)

Tuesday, March 1st
7:30-9:00pm
Please join us for the viewing of  Amy,  the documentary depicting the life and premature death of singer/songwriter Amy Winehouse. Using home videos and media coverage, we are able to view Winehouse-€™s early dedication to music and her ultimate rise to stardom in her own words.  The greater her commercial success and fame became the deeper she dove into troubled relationships, self-harm, eating disorders, and addiction.  This intimate portrait  features unseen archival footage and unheard tracks showcasing her musical genius and conflicted soul.   Join us to learn more about the role that each of us play as family members, friends, or acquaintances of those in the grip of addiction.    After the viewing, a diverse panel of student representatives and specialists in the field of addiction will discuss resources and  how we can become more effective allies for one another.
