McTyeire Fireside Chat: An Evening with Koto Music
Please join Prof. Keiko Nakajima and Mrs. Yukiko for a performance of traditional Japanese Koto music. The koto is a thirteen-stringed, six foot long instrument that is made from Paulowina wood. The original form of the koto dates back to the 7th century. Prof. Nakajima will also share some information about the koto-s history and use.
