Kitchen Table Series: What Does it Take to Get a Female Head of State?

Posted by on Monday, October 14, 2019 in Archives, News.

Tuesday, October 22
5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sarratt 363

As of 2018, 70 countries have had a woman leader over the course of the past 60 years, but the United States has yet to reach that milestone. With an election year fast approaching and a record number of women running for a presidential nomination, we are forced to consider: What it will take for the United States to elect a female head of state? How do the experiences of the women running differ from that of the male candidates? What will first female presidents’ campaign look like? What makes the United States different from other countries that have elected female leaders?

All KTS discussions are held at 5 PM in Sarratt 363. Dinner is provided. Program has a capacity of 30 participants.
