Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law Symposium

Posted by on Sunday, January 22, 2012 in Archives, News.

The Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law will host its annual Symposium on Friday, January 27, 2012, from 9am to 3pm in Flynn Auditorium.   The Symposium, entitled “Copyright & Creativity: Perspectives on Fixation, Authorship, & Expression,” will focus on legal issues surrounding copyright and creative forms, such that stakeholders may come together for dialogue regarding the evolution of both law and creative expression.   Our panels will address the intersection of copyright and arguably creative works.   Should copyright law afford such works categorical protection?   Should copyright doctrines change in order to promote creativity?   We want to encourage the critical examination of fundamental copyright concepts and assumptions.   This event, which is open to the general public, will feature eminent copyright scholars and creative industry professionals.   Please visit  jetlaw.org or contact Kelly Donley at  Kelly.K.Donley@Vanderbilt.edu for more information.
