Date: Tuesday, April 12, 2022, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Kissam C210 MPR
Join Project Safe and guest speaker Emily Cohen for a program to celebrate Sexual Assault Awareness Month! For many survivors of sexual assault, faith and spirituality play a significant role in their lives and, therefore, a significant and often complex role in their healing journey. Even for those outside of traditional religious belonging, religious concepts imbued into our cultures often show up in how we think about experiences of harm or healing. This training will explore the intersections of faith, sexual assault, and survivorship, with a specific focus on common issues that show up for survivors of faith. Participants will also receive tips and best practices for supporting the survivors in their lives.
