Commodore Athletics

Commodore fans,

This week in Nashville: Women’s lacrosse hosts Kennesaw State for home  opener; women’s basketball looks to *Pink Out* Kentucky, and  VUBASEBALL’s Opening Weekend is “On the Radar”…

Ever since VUBASEBALL-€™s first-ever College World Series appearance in  2011, a return trip to Omaha has been -€œOn the Radar.” This offseason,  baseball writers gave high marks to the Black and Gold-€”Spencer Navin,  Tony Kemp and Conrad Gregor received -€œPreseason All-American-€  recognition from Perfect Game and Collegiate Baseball, and Perfect  Game named VU first baseman Gregor -€œ2013 Preseason SEC Player of the  Year.-€ The Commodores will open the 2013 season Feb. 15, ranked as  high as #2 by Baseball America.

Through all of the media attention and autograph sessions, the  Commodores have remained focused on one goal. In addition to regular  workouts and practices, Coach Corbin kicked off the 2013 campaign by  taking the squad through a -€œmajor league-€-intensity tradition-€”the  three-day -€œOmaha Challenge.-€ For full multimedia coverage of the  event, check out the official VUBASEBALL website:
