Want to help in the fight for educational equity by helping reduce COVID-related learning loss?
From 3/1-5/21, BrightPath Tutors will be working virtually with students from Metro Nashville Public Schools in grades 3-9. Over the remainder of the semester, you will meet virtually and one-on-one with a MNPS student, helping them in either reading and writing or math. Through volunteering, you will serve as a role model to a near-peer and help a student make real academic gains in a time of need.
BrightPath Tutors is a nonprofit organization founded by recent Vanderbilt graduates that is looking to address gaps in educational equity. They currently have over 300 tutors, many of which are Vanderbilt students.
If you’re interested in serving as a tutor for this special program, you can sign up to volunteer here, and check the box for “High-Dosage Tutoring — 3 sessions per week (30 min. each)” where prompted. If you have any questions, please reach out to one of the BrightPath presidents, Adam Geffner at or Ben Koch at
